One of the most important factors to a runner is in choosing a pair of running shoes. It does not matter if you are a homemaker mom or an Olympic runner, you must find the proper running shoe just for you. You want to find the perfect balancing point between the weight of the running shoe and the performance. Three other factors to consider are cost and if you like what they look like and how long do they last. What materials they're made of. Some running shoes have more bouncy than others.

I also like to read who's endorsing the running shoes and how long it took to break them in. Yes, it's true. Even new running shoes take a couple weeks to break in because some times you might get a blister. A good blister could take out a week of your training. The way I break them in is to start by wearing them around the house or when going shopping something like that. Blisters are not good if you have been waiting to run in a particular again this year. Then ten days before the race, guess what? Yes, you get a big one and you know you could have avoided it!

Your athletic running shoes are defiantly not a piece of your equipment you want to cut corners with. That is of course unless your local clearance running shoes or your city discounted running shoe store has your certain running shoe. The wrong running shoes can make you lose a race! Yes it's definitely true! Those few ounces saved over the course of a 10k race add up to many pounds of weight you would not have had to carry across the finish line!

My wife gets her best women's running shoes for herself and I have to get a particular running shoe for flat feet. Yes I do, that has been passed down to me from generation to generation. Would you believe many years ago runners and football players ran in leather shoes! Yikes! Ouch!

As you can plainly see running shoes are a very personal thing to us runners you and me. I know this may surprise you but this is a running tips article and you are my reader, so I can only tell you the most personal things about a pair of running shoes. It took me a good four years to find my certain shoe. Yes four years! Once finding them I never changed again. So for the last 15 years I've stuck with the same running shoe. There are only a few pieces of running equipment a runner has to have so I'll mention it one more time.

Your running shoes are like an extensive of you body. It's like you hair. Your hair is an extension of you. It's what you are all about. They're your signature, it's you! They're like Taylor Swift and her boots! Or like the song picking out a "face in a crowd of people". Except it's running shoes! The runners could not see your face but they could see your shoes. They could see the brand and guess what? Yes, they could most likely know who those running shoes belonged to!
